What was done.
A leaking or damaged heating coil is a major hot-washer repair, so the condition of the rest of the machine matters before the work is approved. This HDS 7/10 received a brand-new coil rather than a cosmetic attempt to hide the problem.
Completing the system.
The burner was fully serviced around the replacement and the existing hose-reel arrangement was retained. Its lid was refurbished in dark grey to protect the machine and give the completed unit a clean working finish.
Workshop lesson.
A coil replacement is not complete when the new part merely holds water. The machine must heat, cycle at the trigger and restart without smoke or fuel collecting in the boiler.
