Online consumer purchases
If you bought wholly or mainly outside your trade or profession, your statutory consumer rights apply. For most distance purchases, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after delivery and then have a further 14 days to return the machine. You do not need to give a reason.
For a valid consumer cancellation, we will refund the machine price and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery service where required by law. The buyer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the machine unless it is faulty, incorrectly described or we agree otherwise.
Inspection, testing and condition
You may examine a machine only as you reasonably could in a shop. Commercial operation, cleaning work, prolonged testing, fitting different parts or accessories, dismantling, repair attempts, alterations, incorrect electrical connection or other use beyond reasonable inspection may reduce its value.
Every returned machine is inspected and function-tested against the listing and its recorded condition. We may make a lawful deduction from the refund for loss in value caused by unnecessary use, damage, missing parts or accessories, contamination, poor return packaging or handling beyond what was needed to establish the machine's nature, characteristics and operation. We will explain any deduction and the evidence supporting it.
When no machine fault is found
If a return or collection is requested because a machine is said to be faulty, but inspection shows that it operates as described and no qualifying fault is present, the return will not be treated as a fault-based return. Unless a consumer has separately exercised a valid statutory cancellation right, outbound delivery, collection, inspection and redelivery costs will not be refunded and may be payable by or deducted from sums due to the buyer where lawful.
User error and customer-caused damage
A problem caused after delivery by misuse, unsuitable water or power supply, incorrect phase or voltage, inadequate water flow, frost, contaminated fuel or water, an incorrect nozzle or accessory, unauthorised adjustment, dismantling, attempted repair, impact or poor transport is not a defect present at sale. Where inspection identifies such use or damage, we may refuse a fault-based refund and make lawful deductions reflecting reduced value, missing items, damage and reasonable costs directly caused by the return. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Faulty or incorrectly described machines
Contact us promptly with the order reference, a clear description of the issue and, where practical, photographs or video. Stop using any machine that may be unsafe. We may guide you through safe basic checks or arrange assessment. Where a qualifying fault or material misdescription is confirmed, the remedy and reasonable agreed return costs will be handled in accordance with your legal rights.
Business purchases and collections
Purchases made mainly for business use do not carry the consumer distance-sale cancellation right. Machines collected after inspection are not returnable merely because the buyer changes their mind. This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded or a claim that a machine was materially different from its description.
How to request a return
Email info@pressurewasherco.com or call 07405 875125 before arranging transport. Include your name, order reference, machine and stock number, delivery date and reason for the return. Returns and workshop visits are by prior arrangement.
Refunds are made to the original payment method after the machine is received and assessed, within the time required by applicable law. Please also read our sales terms. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
